Coterra Energy is an oil and natural gas exploration and production company focused on developing assets in the Permian Basin, Marcellus Shale, and Anadarko Basin. Coterra is headquartered in Houston and operates exclusively in the continental United States. Coterra has focused on repeatable multi-well development programs in core basins, where it holds large acreage positions and long-life resource opportunities. In the Permian Basin, the company has approximately 345,000 net acres; in the Marcellus, about 186,000 net acres; and in the Anadarko, around 182,000 net acres. Coterra Energy was acquired by Devon Energy in May 2026.
