Methodology
To qualify, a company—domestic or foreign—must be trading on a major U.S. stock exchange; report data in U.S. dollars; file quarterly reports with the SEC; have a minimum market capitalization of $225 million and a stock price of at least $5 on June 30, 2026; and have been trading continuously since June 30, 2023. Companies must have latest twelve months ended revenue and net income ended on or before April 30, 2026, of at least $50 million and $10 million, respectively, and have posted an annualized growth in revenue and earnings per share of at least 15% annually over the three years ended on or before April 30, 2026.
Companies meeting these criteria are ranked by revenue growth, EPS growth, and three-year annualized total return through June 30, 2026. Fortune calculates revenue and EPS growth using the compound annual growth rate for the latest 12 months.
The overall ranking is determined by the sum of the three individual rankings. After the top 100 companies are selected, they are re-ranked within that group using the same three equally weighted measures. Estimated growth rates were also factored into the overall ranking. In the event of a tie, the company with the highest latest twelve-month revenue figure receives the higher ranking.
Fortune excludes real estate investment trusts, limited liability companies, limited partnerships, business development companies, closed-end investment firms, and companies that reported a loss for the quarter ended on or before April 30, 2026. It also excludes companies that have announced plans to restate previously reported financial data when the errors would have a significant impact, as well as companies that reported a loss for the quarter ended May 31 or June 30 if the loss indicates deteriorating business conditions. S&P Global Market Intelligence provides the data.
