ENGLEWOOD, CO, March 30, 2026 (EZ Newswire) -- The senior director of federal procurement at Jacobs, Miriam R. Hamilton, has been honored by Marquis Who’s Who as a distinguished leader for her work in the consulting industry. With over 25 years of professional experience, Ms. Hamilton oversees procurement and compliance for national companies, meeting the needs of both internal and external clients. Today, she continues to move through familiar and unfamiliar territory, always positioning herself to learn and grow.
Headquartered in Dallas, Texas, Jacobs delivers outcomes and solutions for the world’s most complex challenges. With offices across the globe, the company provides end-to-end services in manufacturing, cities, places, energy, environmental, life sciences, transportation and water. Ms. Hamilton has been with Jacobs for 20 years.
Ms. Hamilton’s Journey to Jacobs
Before Ms. Hamilton began her professional career, she established the foundation for her academic career. She enrolled at Knox College in 1990 and completed a Bachelor of Arts in English writing by 1994. Even now, she believes that the liberal arts education she received there set her up to be the person she needed to be. Capable across disciplines and modalities, she interprets the world with a unique perspective.
Three years after graduating, Ms. Hamilton became an associate project manager at iXL Enterprises, Inc. Working in a technical space, she soon took an interest in the contracts behind the company’s work. She was often responsible for drafting the scope section of contracts that clients signed, which led her to consider contract law and real outcomes.
Ms. Hamilton carried this fascination to work as a consultant and business analyst at Interlink Group Incorporated (now Dell Technologies) in 2001. Within the year, she became a project and construction coordinator at DelWest Holdings LLC. She remained in this role for the next four years but found that she missed the consulting business. When she found an opportunity to return to the field in 2005, she took it.
Contributions as a Federal Procurement Professional at Jacobs
Ms. Hamilton became a federal procurement professional at Jacobs in 2005, an experience that bolstered her skills in subcontracting and public law. By 2015, these new skills led her to become a senior federal procurement supervisor with the company. In 2021, Ms. Hamilton was appointed deputy federal procurement director of the Greater Denver Area; just three years later, she became director of federal procurement for Greenwood Village, Colorado.
