Our Experience with Plunge All-In
The Plunge All-In is an at-home ice tub that cools down to 37 degrees Fahrenheit, per the brand’s website. You can also upgrade the Plunge All-In to add a heater, which, in addition to the cold water, gives you hot water up to 104 degrees Fahrenheit. No plumbing modifications are required to use the Plunge All-In; you simply plug it in to get started. The tub utilizes an app for temperature control, session tracking, scheduling, and more. The brand’s website notes that the Plunge All-In can fit users up to 6 feet, 9 inches tall.

For our Plunge All-In review, our tester Bella tried out the tub twice for a little over three minutes each session. Here’s her feedback on safety, ergonomics, temperature control, and overall experience with the Plunge All-In.
What We Liked
Here’s what Bella rated highly after trying the Plunge All-In.
Durability (4 out of 5): The Plunge All-In is made of acrylic, and it was easy for Bella to get in and out of the tub safely.
Overall experience (4 out of 5): Cold exposure can be very invigorating and help with muscle recovery, and Bella felt that. “I could see myself integrating this type of recovery into my weekly schedule,” she said. “I always feel energized after I cold plunge. The breathing techniques that help manage initial shock to the nervous system allows me to dial in and unwind.”
What We Would Change
Here’s what Bella would improve about the Plunge All-In.
Ergonomics (3 out of 5): Bella was able to rest her arms on the ledge of the tub. However, there were no additional comfort features for resting, such as a seat or headrest. “One person could fit in the tub if fully lying down,” Bella said. “Two shorter people could fit in the tub if sitting across from each other.”
Additionally, the tub didn’t reach the lowest temperature as marketed, which is 37 degrees Fahrenheit. “We had it set at around 53 degrees Fahrenheit, and it decreased to 51 degrees Fahrenheit during the session,” Bella said. “The goal was to get it into the 40 degrees Fahrenheit range, but it did not cool within the 5-and-a-half minutes I was in the tub.”

Comparing Plunge All-In to Other Products
Frequently asked questions
Is the Plunge All-In worth it?
The Plunge All-In could be a good fit for you if you have an established ice plunging routine, are looking for a permanent plunge tub that has its own filtration/cleaning system, and are good with the price tag. For busy professionals seeking to maximize the benefits they get from post-workout recovery time, we think this product is a worthwhile investment.
Does cold plunge therapy really work?
Research of cold plunge therapy (cold water immersion, or CWI) is ongoing, and current studies all suggest that more randomized controlled studies (RCTs) are needed. Of current evidence, a 2023 study and 2025 review both suggest that cold plunge therapy may support improved behavioral and quality of life outcomes.
How often should I use a cold plunge?
We recommend talking with your doctor or other healthcare professional about how often you should use a cold plunge, which is important to do if you have medical conditions or are if you are over 50. In general, the frequency will depend on your experience (beginner vs advanced), your goals (fitness, recovery) and your tolerance level for the cold temperatures.
