It’s very sleek and compact,” she noted, adding that the bottle is a bit smaller than an average bottle of commercial shampoo. “Pantene is usually 12 fluid ounces; Nutrafol is 8 fluid ounces.”

Our tester rated the feel of the product a 4.5 out of 5. “The texture is sort of silky, but a bit sticky. It’s more sticky than slimy, but it has a decent amount of thickness to it, so it doesn’t pour out too quickly.”

Our tester, Kate, was impressed with Nutrafol’s packaging, giving her first impression a 5 out of 5. “I personally love the packaging Nutrafol uses,” she said. “It comes in a glass, matte container that looks very sleek. It looks like a luxury product.”

While the ease of instructions earned a 5 out of 5 rating, Kate wasn’t too thrilled with the serving size, which is four capsules daily. “The pills are your average-sized vitamin capsules. However, four of them is quite a lot to take at the same time,” she said, giving the swallowability a 3 out of 5. “I had no issue taking these pills with a glass of water—but someone who doesn’t enjoy taking pills, they might have a hard time with four daily.”

Luckily, Kate didn’t notice any unwanted side effects, though she did note that some customers reported a bit of digestive discomfort. However, she concluded: “Any long-term effects that I researched seem to just be positive that the product is doing what it’s intended to do.”
