Our Experience with Jacked Factory Authentic Whey Protein
Jack Factory Authentic Iso is marketed as an easily digestible protein powder made with grass-fed whey protein isolate, which the company calls “nature’s ideal source of essential amino acids that ignite muscle protein synthesis.” Whey protein isolate, which is different from casein protein and whey protein concentrate, usually undergoes additional processing to remove more lactose, fat, and carbohydrates. This results in a higher amount of protein in the finished product.

Authentic Iso is designed to support the repair of lean muscle tissue, helping with post-training recovery. And the company says this protein powder is manufactured using “state-of-the-art filtration processes” and high-quality ingredients, resulting in a whey protein with minimal carbs and fillers.
Pete, a member of our testing team and a certified nutrition coach, tried Jacked Factory Authentic ISO. He enjoyed nearly everything about it, noting only one drawback.
What We Liked
Pete rated the product highly in three key categories.
- Instructions (5 out of 5): The instructions were straightforward and easy to understand, according to Pete. They were sufficiently detailed, including directions to mix one scoop of powder with 8 to 12 ounces of cold water, and included a helpful suggestion: that people should vary the amount of water to achieve the desired taste and consistency.
- Mixability (5 out of 5): Pete said, “The product dissolved fully in 60 seconds using a standard shaker bottle. There were no visible chunks or clumping of the powder.” He loved the resulting “light, smooth texture.”
- Taste (5 out of 5): Pete tested the vanilla flavor and said it was “easy to drink” and “noticeably sweet.” (Note: This flavor is no longer available, but there’s a “vanilla oatmeal cookie” flavor for those interested in something similar. Pete reported that he didn’t experience any side effects after consuming this product, which is another plus.
What We Would Change
There was just one thing Pete said that could have been improved.
- Sweetness (5 out of 5/maximum sweetness levels): According to Pete, “Jacked Factory uses both sucralose and stevia extract, which gives it a strong sweetness that stands out more than the vanilla itself.” He rated it a 5 out of 5 for sweetness, indicating the highest possible level. Pete also said there was a “sweet stevia aftertaste,” which wasn’t ideal.

As our tester noted, this is a fairly sweet product. If that sounds appealing, this might be a good fit for you. If you generally prefer less sweetness and/or would find the stevia aftertaste off-putting, you might want to try another protein powder.
Those who are sensitive to lactose
This product contains whey protein isolate, which goes through more processing than whey protein concentrate. During that process, more lactose is removed, making whey protein isolate suitable for lactose-sensitive individuals. However, we’d caution anyone with a severe dairy allergy to check with a healthcare provider before trying this product, as it does technically contain milk.
We generally recommend checking with a healthcare provider anyway, though, if you’re thinking of adding a new product to your routine—especially if you’re taking any medications or are pregnant or nursing. We also don’t recommend this whey protein powder for children.

Is Jacked Factory a good protein?
Our tester gave Jacked Factory Authentic Iso high marks across the board, with the only slight negative being that it was on the sweeter side. One serving has 25 grams of protein, which is on par with other protein powders on the market today. We’d prefer that the product be third-party tested, but overall, our firsthand testing experience showed this to be a solid whey protein powder.
Are Jacked Factory products safe?
We didn’t analyze every Jacked Factory product, but the whey protein powder we did try was not third-party tested. Why does this matter? The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) doesn’t approve dietary supplements for safety or efficacy, which means ingredients and their amounts may differ from what’s on the label. For this reason, we typically recommend looking for products that have been third-party tested to confirm safety and accuracy. If a product hasn’t been third-party tested, that doesn’t necessarily mean it isn’t safe, however. We also recommend speaking with a healthcare provider before adding any new supplement to your routine, to confirm that it’s a good fit for your health needs and goals, and that it won’t interfere with any medications you may be taking.
