KFC’s first Super Bowl ad features two different versions of the Colonel: Georgia Gold Colonel Billy Zane, painted gold and promoting the new Georgia Gold chicken, and Kentucky Buckets Colonel Rob Riggle, trying to interrupt Zane for football.
Though KFC ran ads during last year’s pre-show and in the CBS live-stream of the game, “Colonel vs. Colonel” is its first official ad to run during the Super Bowl, Ad Age reports. Wieden & Kennedy created the 15-second spot, and a number of extended scenes can be seen on YouTube.
