Can’t deal with the Election Day hype and just want to run away? JetBlue (JBLU) feels you, and it’s making it easier for travelers to get away with an Election Day airfare sale.
This two-day sale has tickets starting at just $39 (and flights between Las Vegas and Long Beach, Calif. are only $34!). There are many routes that cost less than $50, one way, including getaways to Fort Lauderdale from chilly cities like Pittsburgh and Chicago. The sale also extends to getaways that include airfare and hotel, with three-night packages to plenty of sunny places for just a few hundred bucks. (Hey Detroit, how does Fort Lauderdale for $315 per person sound?)
JetBlue says these fares are good for travel between November 9 and February 28, 2017. There are blackout dates around the holidays, as might be expected, and some routes restrict what days of the week you can fly to get the best deals. The listed fares are also JetBlue’s Blue, or basic, fares. If you want to check a bag, you’ll have to pay $20 or upgrade for another $18 or so to the Blue Plus fare class, which includes a checked bag.

Travel has to be booked by midnight tonight to get these cheap tickets, though, so if you want to jet, you’ll have to hustle.
