Bernie Sanders is clearly not like most presidential candidates. He self-identifies as a democratic socialist. He’s not religious. And he’s technically an independent, having never actually joined the Democratic party.
Now he’s added another slightly odd feather in his cap — he has sat down for a wide-ranging interview with Run the Jewels rapper Killer Mike, born Michael Render.
For those of you who don’t listen to much underground hip-hop, this isn’t foreign territory for Killer Mike. One of his best-known songs is called “Reagan,” which criticizes the former Republican president and ends with the declaration “I’m glad Reagan dead.”
The two talk about issues ranging from gun rights to economic justice. Watch all six parts below:
