The company recalled all of its ice cream back in April due a risk of listeria contamination. Two weeks ago, Ricky Dickson, the company’s vice president of sales and marketing, announced that Blue Bell would be returning to select shelves at the end of August.

Early Monday morning, the company sent off its first truck with a video on its Instagram account captioned: “And we’re off! #bluebellisback”

Dickson announced in Blue Bell’s press release on Monday:

We are excited to announce that we have begun filling stores with our products. It could take more than a week to get everyone stocked with ice cream and some locations could sell out quickly. But, we will be stocking and restocking as quickly as we can.

Although this is great news for Blue Bell, the release is very limited, stocking shelves in only a few Texas and Alabama cities with just four flavors.
