The sandwich giant is suspending long-time spokesman Jared Fogle after learning that he is being investigated in apparent connection to a child pornography case, AP reports.
On Tuesday morning, the Federal Bureau of Investigation reportedly raided Fogle’s home. Following that, Subway removed images of Fogle from its website.
“Jared continues to cooperate with authorities and he expects no actions to be forthcoming,” Subway PR manager Cindy Carraquilla said in a statement. “Both Jared and Subway agree that this was the appropriate step to take.”
Fogle was originally picked up by the company after he dropped 245 pounds through a regimen involving exercise and a diet of Subway sandwiches.
