Tesla (TSLA) CEO Elon Musk didn’t make mega-millions for his work atop the electric car manufacturer last year. In fact, he made nothing.
Musk’s total compensation for 2014 was $35,360, according to CNN. But Musk did not accept that payment, and the reported total was determined based on California minimum wage laws.
Despite this, Musk likely pulled in some cash last year. He is also CEO of aerospace company SpaceX. SpaceX is a private company, so it is unknown how much he made from that job.
Plus, he probably has some money to fall back on from the total $78 million he made from Tesla in 2012. He also owns 35.3 million Tesla shares.
