Tesla and SpaceX founder Elon Musk has taken to Twitter to announce out-of-this-world plans for his aerospace company.
Last night, Musk tweeter the following about plans for SpaceX:
SpaceX is still in the early stages of developing advanced micro-satellites operating in large formations. Announcement in 2 to 3 months.

The tweet was in response to a story in the Wall Street Journal this weekend reporting that Musk was working with Greg Wyler, a former Google (GOOG) executive with substantial experience with satellites, on the project. The story said Musk wants to launch 700 satellites weighing less than 250 pounds each, substantially smaller than most communications satellites.
Musk doesn’t want anyone to think he is confirming the Journal’s story, though:

This is the second time in the past few weeks Musk has gotten into a Twitter (TWTR) spat with the Journal. Late last month, he clashed with the paper over reports that Tesla (TSLA), his electric car company, was seeing sales decline.
