Jason Dressel
Jason Dressel is CEO of History Factory, the pioneering brand heritage and archives agency founded in 1979. The firm partners with leading enterprises to activate their history — through brand heritage, storytelling, and institutional knowledge — as a driver of performance, resilience, and long-term value.
Jason joined History Factory in 1999 and became CEO in 2022, succeeding the firm’s founder and leading its next chapter of growth and modernization. Under his leadership, the firm has strengthened its focus on helping organizations structure and activate what he describes as Institutional Memory and Intelligence — ensuring that history is not simply preserved or told, but made usable for leaders navigating consequential decisions. He advises Fortune 500 executives during high-stakes moments including CEO transitions, enterprise transformation, mergers and integrations, brand reinvention, and reputational inflection points. In an era defined by rapid digital acceleration and AI adoption, Jason’s work centers on a core belief: organizations awash in data must also maintain disciplined access to context. History, when structured and activated, becomes infrastructure.
During his tenure, History Factory has remained a trusted partner to world-class organizations including Bechtel, Boston Beer Company, Bridgestone, Caterpillar, Cleveland Clinic, Deloitte, Goldman Sachs, Mars, Sherwin-Williams, Southwest Airlines, Subaru, and Verizon. Jason also leads the firm’s thought leadership platform and is a frequent speaker and media contributor on enterprise identity, leadership continuity, institutional knowledge, and the intersection of AI and organizational memory. A firm believer in “we, not me,” Jason credits History Factory’s success to its people. He leads a collaborative, curious, and committed team dedicated to helping organizations use their history to perform better.
